Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 12:30 PM in St. John's Catholic Church, Hollywood, MD with Fr. Francis Kelly and Fr. Raymond Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow in Queen of Peace Cemetery, Helen, MD. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 7:00 PM. Patricia Mary “Pat” Lowe, 78, of California, MD and formerly of Leonardtown, MD died August 29, 2008 in St. Mary’s Hospital. Born July 20, 1930 in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late James Vincent and Catherine Mary Cunniffe Nolan. She was the loving wife of the late Gerard R. “Jerry” Lowe whom she married on May 2, 1953 in New York, NY and who preceded her death on August 21, 1989. She is survived by her children; Ann Marie Doory and her husband Robert of Baltimore, MD, Christopher J. Lowe of Lexington Park, MD, Catherine M. Lowe and her husband Jason Duden of Edgewater, MD, Robert G. Lowe of California, MD, Mary Patricia Farkas and her husband Kevin of Frederick, MD and James M. Lowe and his wife Jane of Hollywood, MD. She is also survived by her brother James V. Nolan of Yonkers, NY and seven grandchildren. Pat grew up in New York City where she graduated from high school in 1948 and moved to Baltimore, MD in 1958. She was a homemaker and a mother of six children. After raising her children, she provided childcare services for several families in the Leonardtown area and helped raise her granddaughter Kelly Lynn Lowe. Mrs. Lowe was a member and officer of the Catholic Daughters. She loved her family and her church. She enjoyed Irish music and was a Redskins fan. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 12:30 PM in St. John’s Catholic Church, Hollywood, MD with Fr. Raymond Schmidt and Fr. Francis Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in Queen of Peace Cemetery, Helen, MD. Pallbearers will be: Dakota Lowe, Brian Doory, Donald Bell, Jon Lore, Kevin Nolan and Thomas Kelly.
