A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Joseph Sileo officiating and Pastor Elbert W. Colston co-officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.
Visitation:
Viewing/Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2008 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 7:00 PM.
David “Scott” Bennett, 49, of Ridge, MD formerly of Valley Lee, MD died October 7, 2008 in Ridge, MD. Born July 8, 1959 in Olathe, KS he was the son of Donald and Clara “Sandy” Bennett of Waynesboro, VA. He is survived by his ex-wife Denise Lang Bennett whom he married in St. Michael’s Church, Ridge, MD; children: Joshua Bennett and Melissa Bennett both Valley Lee, MD and sister: Donna Wagner of California, MD. Scott graduated from Great Mills High School Class of 1977. He worked as a draftsman and enjoyed deer hunting. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 10, 2008 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 7:00 PM. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers will be James Shaw, James Wagner, David Sides, Richard Lang, Jacob Lang and Wayne Wiley. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Steven Lang, Lucas Lang and Jay Amadio.
