“”May God greatly bless the Scriber family – I hope that you can find some comfort in your many special memories and in the thought of the happy years you shared. Porgie was my friend and classmate (1960)”. Frances Frazier “
“I’ve grown up hearing many stories about my mother’s classmate, Porgie and the many things he said and did during their school days at Banneker. I was fortunate that in Mama’s last months of life, I got to meet him through several visits he paid to Mama at the hospital and nursing home. It was so special to her to know that after all those years passed, so many classmates still cared. My love and prayers to Mr. Scriber’s family. May you find the strength to get through these trying times. In memory of My Mother, Mrs. Delores Ann Robinson-Thomas, Banneker High Class of 1960.”
“”Porgie” was a member of the Class of 1960 of Banneker High School. He was and will always be loved and remembered as the “Heart” of our Class. You will be missed greatly.”

“Our condolences to the Scriber family. You will be truly missed. Growning up with Porgie was truly a Blessing. He would come to my parents house,(Joe and Catherine Carter) and ask if he could dance for the family, the answer was always yes. He would dance and keep us laughing with his many dances. Porgie REST in PEACE. We love you. “
