A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Raymond Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.
Visitation:
Viewing/Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2008 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM.
Pamela Diane “Pam” Sparks, 46, Lexington Park, MD died November 28, 2008 in Washington Hospital Center. Born July 16, 1962 in Leonardtown, MD she was the daughter of Joseph Nelson of Avenue, MD and Phyllis Smith Dyson of Orange Park, FL. She was the loving wife of Tommy Sparks whom she married on August 17, 1988 in Leonardtown, MD. She is survived by her children: Jacquelyn Delay and her husband Ron of Jacksonville, FL and Randae Sparks of Lexington Park, MD; siblings: Joseph Nelson and his wife Michelle of Great Mills, MD, Patricia Beekman and her husband Daniel of Orange Park, FL and Christina Smith of Jacksonville, FL as well as three grandchildren. Pam was a life long St. Mary’s County resident where she graduated from Leonardtown High School Class of 1981. She worked as a manager for Southland Corp. (Highs Dairy Store) from 1981 – 1994. She was the Vice President of the Monday Night Women’s Pool League. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 4, 2008 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Raymond Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers will be Darrell Goode, Mikey Redman, Jeremy Redman, Mike Sparks, Gator Sparks and Clinton Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Aaron Nelson, Amy Nelson, Anastasia Beekman and Brandon Smith.
