Services: The family will receive friends on Friday, October 16, 2009 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel, Leonardtown, MD, where a service will be held at 11:00 am with Fr. John Ball officiating. Interement will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Paul John Balsbaugh, 51, of Callaway, MD died October 13, 2009 at his residence. Born October 18, 1957 in Sanford, FL, he was the son of Earl E. Balsbaugh of Alexandria, VA and the late Florence C. Balsbaugh. He is also survived by his fiancé Joyce Powers and his siblings James Earl Balsbaugh, of Dover, DE, Mark Anthony Balsbaugh and Joseph Daniel Balsbaugh of Alexandria, VA, Susan Marie Balsbaugh of Meadville, PA and Patrick Luke Balsbaugh of Callaway, MD, as well as his niece Krystal and his nephews Charles, Sam, James, Jr., and Krystal. Paul moved from Brunswick, ME to St. Mary’s County in 1963, where he attended George Washington Carver Middle School and Great Mills High School. He was a career truck driver working for Northern Neck Trucking Company. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. The family will receive friends at the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD, on Friday, October 16, 2009 from 10:00 – 11:00 PM where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Fr. John Ball officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers will be Earl, Pat, C.P., James and Sammy. Contributions can be left to Hospice of St. Mary’s, P.O. Box 625, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Arrangements provided by the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, P.A.
