“Heaven has definately received another angel. Mrs. Thomas was a lovely lady, and the most caring person I ever had the pleasure to meet. She was an excellent teacher, and cared for all her students. My prayers are with her family, in this very difficult time. “
“Harold, Gilberta, Harold Jr, & Family: Our thoughts and prayers go out to you during your time of loss. Dorothy gave much to many and it takes a special person to become a teacher and not only give herself unconditionally to her family but also on a daily basis to so many others. May your loving memories of her get you through each day. “
“We have lost a truly wonderful person with Mrs. Thomas’ passing. She was my 2nd grade teacher at Leonardtown and seeing her through the years she always remembered me and always asked about the family and what I was doing. I remember so much of her teachings and as I read this, I remember finger painting and her teaching me how to correctly pronounce the word “hors d’ ouvers” and remember so clearly how she laughed at my pronunciation (as I think back now, I laugh at how I pronounced it also) and then taught me the correct pronunciation of it. She was indeed a great teacher. I have always thought of her over the years and each time I saw her she was always smiling. She was a very special person and will truly be missed. My sympathies to the family. Tanya Butler”
“Whenever I’d pass by Mrs. Thomas’ house I’d often wonder how she was doing (now I know). Mrs. Thomas was my favorite teacher at Leonardtown Elementary. She was not just an ordinary teacher, Mrs. Thomas gave that motherly love and attention to all of her students. She cared about you and wanted you to have the best education that she could possibly give. I will never forget how special she was to me. To the Thomas family, I pray that God will continue to give you grace and peace in this most needed time. (Her living was not in vain) “
“Harold and Family: We were very sorry to hear of Dorothy’s passing. She fought a long fight, but in spite of her illness, she was always so pleasant when we (Marie and Lorraine) would visit. We’ll remember her and the family in our prayers.”
“May God send you blessings and gentle comfort during this time of sadness and sorrow .My prayers are with you all. Bessie Jordan daughter”
