A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD with Deacon Bill Nickerson officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 12:00 PM- 1:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD.
Betty Blue Knott, 72, of Lothian, MD died November 23, 2010 at Calvert Memorial Hospital, Prince Frederick, MD. Born May 2, 1938 in Sugar Grove, WV she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Sarah Dainty (Losh) Moats. She was also the loving wife of the late Francis C. Knott who preceded her in death on February 9, 2010 whom she married on November 1, 1958 in Forestville, Maryland. Mrs. Knott is survived by her children Barbara Nelson (Rick) of Mechanicsville, MD and Francis C. Knott, Jr. of Lothian, MD. She is survived by siblings; Rella Zarvis of Alexandria, VA, Eugene Moats of Lusby, MD, and Peggy Hawley of N.C. as well as three grandchildren. Mrs. Knott was preceded in death by her siblings; Eramous Losh of District Heights, MD and Stella Duley of Upper Marlboro, MD. Mrs. Knott graduated with the class of 1956 from Gywen Park High School in Brandywine, MD. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM in Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD, where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM with Deacon Bill Nickerson officiating. Pallbearers will be; Mike Murphy, Richard Nelson, Rod Nelson and Danny Moats. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.
