“To the family – Bill was one of the finest gentlemen we have ever known. We enjoyed many years of knowing him in our Gideon Camp. He could pray the most beautiful prayers and he sang so nice when he was lifting his voice to our Lord. He is in a better place for sure. Our life is much richer just knowing him.”
“I first met Bill at SAYSF Bible Church and was impressed with the fervor he exhibited every time he prayed. We became well acquainted through the years, with Bible Study at the Wildwoode Retirement Center and later at Cedar Lane Apartments. He always had a jovial outlook and it was a pleasure to be with him.”
“I am Dallas’s sister from ND and I am sorry I never got to meet Mr. Mitchell. My mother often visited Dallas and Alta over the holidays and often spoke very highly of Mr. Mitchell and she held him in high regard. My most sincere sympathy to Alta and Dallas. “
“Bill was such a positive influence in my younger life. He was always positive. He clearly loved the Lord and it showed in all he said and did. He will be missed. “
“To Alta Gwyn and Dallas – Uncle Bill was such a lovely man. Though I didn’t see him very often, he was often in my thoughts. He will be missed! So sorry for your loss, but he’s where he belongs now. Take care.”
“What a sweet spirt your Dad had. Alta, both your parents were such an inspiration to me. The love both of you showed to your Dad, has always touched my heart. Love to you both as you “Celebrate” your Dad’s homecoming with tears. I hear a new soloist is in Heaven.”
“I first met Bill at a Gideons breakfast shortly after he moved to St. Mary’s County. He started attending SAYSF Bible Church and we became good friends. I always thought that Bill had a great talent for praying. Whenever I came back to St. Mary’s County affter moving back to Cincinnati, I always made it aa point to visit with Bill. He was truly a wonderful man and a great friend. I’ll miss him.”
“It’s difficult to reflect the true beauty of Bill with words alone. He was a gentle man with a big heart and a kind soul. He had an aura of peace and contentment and could always make you smile. He was a truly lovely man and it was both a pleasure and an honour to have known him. Alta and Dallas – though I’m far away I send you both my love x”
“TO THE FAMILY MR. MITCHELL WAS A GREAT PERSON.I WILL MISS HIM.”
“Bill continually expressed the joy of the Lord that was his strength. If I am fortunate enough to live as long as Bill did, I hope to emulate his example.”
“Alta Qwynn, this is a bit late to write, but my maiden name was Mathers. I knew your Mum and Dad. And your Gram in Milwaukee! I would come to your house to play with you when you were wee! Your M. Would visit us when she was single in Milwaukee and paint my fingernails (such a treat). I think of your folks with much love and warm memories!! Life is a circle. Nancy Visovatti née Mathers.
