Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 10:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Mechanicsville, MD with Fr. Anscar Laczko officiating. Interment will be follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 9, 2012 from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD., with prayers being recited at 7:00 PM. Lillian “Tillie” Guy Gorman, 84, of Mechanicsville, MD, died on February 5 2012 in Leonardtown, MD. Born January 2, 1928 she was the daughter of the late William A. and Lillian Alice Guy. Lillian was the loving wife of James E. Gorman, Sr. whom she married on July 1, 1983. Lillian is survived by her children; Marsha D. Guy (Donnie) of Leonardtown, MD., Ricky Downs of Mechanicsville, MD., Tere Vallandingham (Joe) of Clements, MD., 4 grandchildren; Katie V. Sanchez (Steve), Bobby Vallandingham (Susan), David Vallandingham (Christina), D.J. Downs, 2 great grandchildren; Trent Vallandingham, and Delia Vallandingham. Lillian is preceded in death by her siblings; Bert, Bobby, David, Regis, and Frankie Guy, and Sara Garrett. Lillian graduated from Margaret Brent in 1944 and was a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County, MD. She worked for Leonardtown Dairy, the Board of Education, and 1st National Bank of St. Mary’s County for 34 years retiring in 1994. The family will receive friends in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD on Thursday, February 9, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 10:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Mechanicsville, MD with Fr. Ansgar Laczko officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers will be; Donnie Guy, Joe Vallandingham, Jr., Ricky Downs, Bobby Vallandingham, David Vallandingham, and Donald Guy.
