Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Morganza, MD with Fr. John Mattingly officiating. Interment will be follow in the church cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Morganza, MD. Delores “Dee Dee” Wilhelmina Young, 64 of Leonardtown, MD formerly of Morganza, MD died February 10, 2012 at St. Mary’s Nursing Center. Born August 23, 1947 in Morganza, MD, she was the daughter of the late Mary T. and William E. Young. “Dee Dee” is survived by her siblings; Janice Young of Morganza, MD, Charlene Herbert (Paul) of Morganza, MD, Robert Young (Bernice) of Great Mills, MD, William Young (Darlene) of Morganza, MD, Dian Young Mitchell (Walter) of Richmond, VA, Elizabeth Stewart (Donald) of Morganza, MD, Patricia Phillips (Willie) of Seat Pleasant, MD, and Joseph Young (Agnes) of Mechanicsville, MD. In addition to her parents “Dee Dee” was preceded in death by a brother Francis Young and a sister Mary Courtney. “Dee Dee” was a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Morganza, MD with a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 11:00 AM with Father John Mattingly officiating. Interment will follow in Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Helen, MD. Pallbearers will be; Edward Floyd, Jr., Edward Holt, Paul Holt, Kelly Holt, Michael Young, and Brandon Young. Honorary pallbearers will be; Donald Stewart, Willie Phillips, Walter Mitchell, Sr., Paul Herbert, and Albert Purvis. Arrangements were provided by the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, P.A.
