Interment will be private. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 5, 2012 from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD. Darcy “Darce” Diane O’Donnell, 43, of Mechanicsville, MD formerly from Pennsylvania, died on April 1, 2012 in Leonardtown, MD. Born on August 13, 1968 in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Jackie Thorne of Calvert County, MD and the late Bing Thorne. Darcy was the loving wife of Patrick Michael O’Donnell whom she married in La Plata, MD on October 17, 1998. Darcy is survived by her son Page Michael of Mechanicsville, MD., siblings; Dray Thorne of Mechanicsville, MD., Dirk Thorne of Calvert County, MD., and Dana Thorne of Las Vegas, NV. Darcy graduated from McDonough High School in 1986. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 5, 2012 from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 AM with Deacon Bill Nickerson officiating. Interment will be private. Arrangements provided by the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, P.A, Leonardtown, MD.

  36. “The loss of Darcy hit really hard. I did not know how much she was suffering. She deserved so much better. It took me a long time to find this FB page. My heart felt sympathy to Mike and Page. I think of Page a lot. His mother was a really sensitive girl and probably way too much so. I still see her as an infant in her bath as this really gorgeous blond haired blue eyed peaches and cream complexioned infant. If only that could have protected her until old age. Of all the losses I felt in my family Darcy’s passing really struck as one of the deepest! Grow strong Page and make your parents proud! “
