A Memorial service will be held on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 25, 2012 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD.
Susan Marshall Pickeral, 62, of St. Mary’s City, MD., passed away on May 18, 2012 in Leonardtown, MD. Born on January 27, 1950 in Martinsville, VA she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Genevieve Marshall. Susan is survived by her loving husband Douglas Wayne Pickeral whom she married in Halifax, NC on July 29, 1968. Susan is survived by her children: Bryan Carter Pickeral (Angie) of St. Inigoes, MD., and Andrea Owens (Greg) of St. Mary’s City, MD., 6 grandchildren; Jenna and Ansley Owens, Presley and Evan Pickeral and 2 step grandchildren Bryan and Ashley Owens as well as 1 sister Mary Vickers (Wayne) of Ashburn, VA. Mrs. Pickeral graduated from W.T. Woodson High School in 1968. She moved from Connecticut to St. Mary’s County in 1980. Susan worked as a realtor for Long and Foster Realty. She loved spending time with her grandchildren baking and cooking. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 25, 2012 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 3:00 PM in the Mattingly-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD. Interment will be private. Contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Mary’s P.O. Box 625 Leonardtown, MD 20650.
