Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. “Our sincerest sympathies to the family for your loss. May God comfort you in such a sad time… Words can not describe what a beautiful woman Naomi was. She was filled with such a quiet gracefulness. No one before her, nor after her could emulate. Her love for the Lord was everything. It showed with her every thought, word, and action. She was the Godliest woman we’ve known. We remember when she lost her dear husband (Dr. Ira Fowler, Sr.) and being alone for the first time ever; how difficult it was for her. But, her faith was steadfast… She kept her bible close by and held strong to God’s promises… Her faith was unshakable.. When she left St. Mary’s, she left a huge void for all who knew and loved her. Treasuring a gift she gave: a small musical red cardinal which plays to: “You are my sunshine” and continues to play “So please don’t take my sunshine away”. Tears fell then, and tears fall now, as our little sunshine has been taken once more. But now, even through our sadness we will celebrate: knowing she has been taken to the One she served so perfectly, so gracefully, and so honorably. We will forever treasure the beautiful memories of the times we shared. We pray the family will be comforted in such a difficult and sad time.. “

  2. Tom and Esther Fowler, Jr. says:

“What a precious, godly Lady our Aunt Naomi was. She always had a sweet spirit and strong faith in God. So sorry for your loss! We wish we could be there to celebrate her life with you. We will be praying that the family will be comforted during this difficult time.”

  3. “Sweet Naomi! What a privilege and honor it was to have known Naomi and her Dear Ira. They were both such Godly examples of how to live your life on this earth. Although we have been blessed with many Christian friends these two wonderful people were a greater influence on our walk with God than anyone else. They truly lived their faith and it showed in everything they did or said. We rejoice in knowing that she is now reunited with Ira before God. What a celebration they must be enjoying! “

  4. “We truly share the pain of the loss of Naomi. No one influenced Bob’s and my spiritual life the way that Naomi and Dr. Fowler both did. Naomi was a breath of fresh, sweet air no matter what the circumstances were. She was so poised, fashionable and yet full of the Holy Spirit in a way few people experience. We miss her; we miss them both! We are so happy for the reunion with Jesus and with Dr. Fowler. She is finally home. Praise God.”

  5. Ginny Thompson Lacey and Donnie Lacey says:

“God Bless you Aunt Naomi. Now you and daddy can catch up on things. I hope he and Uncle Ira are taking turns telling stories up there. “

  6. “To Vivian and the Thompson family–my heartfelt sympathies. “

  7. “Naomi was a wonderful person. Both she and her husband helped in starting the Leonardtown church and provided much needed leadership. When shw went to live in Ohio, everyone missed her so much. She was an island of calm, serenity and wisdom. Now she is truly HOME and we should rejoice in her arrival and taking her place as one of the saints. Mom and I will be there Wed. evening for tears, laughter and celebration. “

  8. “Naomi was a gracious and lovely lady. She was from great stock as Briscoe and Daisy were citizens of high moral character. I remember visiting there with my mother as a young boy. I am now 70. I remember seeing Naomi occasionally in more recent years and it was always a pleasure taking with her. “
