Horst Fritz Otto Heier, Sr. passed away on December 28, 2013 in Lexington Park, MD. Born on August 8, 1935 in Germany he was the loving son of the late Otto G. and Fredia Louise Stilte Heier. Horst was the loving husband of Mary E. Tippett Heier, whom he married on March 11, 1977 in Leonardtown, MD. Horst is survived by his children; Horst Heier, Jr. (Crystal Ann) of Hollywood, MD, Michelle Ryman of Mechanicsville, MD, 2 grandchildren; Emily B. and Peyton L. Heier, and brother Herbert Heier of MO. He is preceded in death by his sister Betty Hubschmon. He moved to St. Mary’s County in 1952. Horst worked as a Mill Worker for the Milling Industry retiring in 1980. Horst enjoyed farming and carpentry work, he was kind hearted and if anyone asked for help, he was more than willing to lend a hand.
