Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM in St. John's Catholic Church Hollywood, MD with Father Mike Wilson officiating and Father Ray Schmidt concelebrating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Monday, June 2, 2014 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM in St. John's Catholic Church Hollywood, MD. Paul Peter Perpich, 86, of Rockville, MD died peacefully May 21, 2014 surrounded by his loving family and friends, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, MD. Born on May 6, 1928 in Gilbert, Minnesota, he was the loving son of the late Mary Biondich Perpich, and Jerry Perpich. Paul was the loving husband of the late Dorothy Clarke Perpich, whom he married on February 6, 1950. Paul is survived by his daughter Mary Beth Humen (Tom) of Bethesda, MD., 2 grandchildren; Kathleen and Christian, 1 great grandchild Chloe, and brother Bob Perpich of Gilbert, Minnesota. He is preceded in death by his siblings Jerry Perpich, Tom Perpich, and Margaret Januszewski. He graduated from Gilbert High School, and joined the United Sates Navy in 1945, serving in the Korean War, and he served for 8 years. Paul graduated from Georgetown University in 1958, and maintained a residence in Piney Point, MD. Paul worked as an accountant with Marriott and he also owned and ran St. Mary's Landing Restaurant in Charlotte Hall, MD for 13 years, after his time with Marriott. Paul belonged to the Knights of Columbus; he loved the Washington Redskins, and was a season ticket holder at RFK stadium for many years. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 2, 2014 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM in St. John's Catholic Church Hollywood, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM with Father Mike Wilson officiating and Father Raymond Schmidt concelebrating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 4200 Harewood Road, NE, Washington, DC 20017.
