Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 3:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel Leonardtown, MD, with Devin Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery Arlington, VA. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM with VFW Post 2632 prayers recited at 2:45 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. Thomas Clifford LaBarge, 75 of California, MD formerly of Middletown, CT, passed away on July 20, 2014 in Walter Reed Medical Center. Born December 14, 1938 in Middletown, CT, he was the son of the late Marion Elizabeth Schultz LaBarge and Louis Napoleon LaBarge. Mr. LaBarge is survived by his loving wife Beverly A. LaBarge, whom he married in East Hampton, CT on February 4, 1967. Children; Dorene L. Lindsay of Tampa, Fl, and Lester L. LaBarge of California, MD, siblings; Diane Edmiston of Richmond, VA, Faith Hugo of Niactic, CT and Jerry Erdman of Roque Bluff, ME, also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents Thomas was preceded in death by a son Joel L. LaBarge. Thomas retired from the U.S. Navy in 1980 after serving for 22 years, his duty stations were, San Diego, CA, Jacksonville, FL, Patuxent River, MD and Brunswick, ME, he then worked for BAE Systems as an Logistics Analyst retiring in 2000 after 15 years of service.. Mr. LaBarge was a life member with the VFW, MOC, Elks, Fleet Reserve, NAUS, American Legion, AMVETS and DAV organizations. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 2:00PM to 3:00PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD with a Funeral Service held at 3:00PM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
