Zenaida “Zeny” A. Altherr, 71, of Lexington Park, MD formerly from Baguyo City, Philippines passed away on August 5, 2014 in Washington, DC. Born on March 15, 1943 in Baguio city, Philippines, she was the loving daughter of the Beatriz Alboa Lemieux Fernandez and Jose P. Fernandez. Zeny was the loving wife of the late Kenneth John Altherr. Zeny is survived by her siblings: Erlinda A. Fernandez, Lourdes A. Fernandez, Joseph A. Fernandez, and David A. Fernandez. She worked as a waitress for the Riversedge Restaurant at Patuxent Naval Air Station in Patuxent River, MD and was a member of the Filipino American Society of Southern Maryland. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 Pm with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD.
