A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM, with viewing from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Lexington Park, MD with Father Marco Schad officiating. Interment will be held in Arlington National Cemetery Arlington, VA at a later date.

Zenaida “Zeny” A. Altherr, 71, of Lexington Park, MD formerly from Baguyo City, Philippines passed away on August 5, 2014 in Washington, DC. Born on March 15, 1943 in Baguio city, Philippines, she was the loving daughter of the Beatriz Alboa Lemieux Fernandez and Jose P. Fernandez. Zeny was the loving wife of the late Kenneth John Altherr. Zeny is survived by her siblings: Erlinda A. Fernandez, Lourdes A. Fernandez, Joseph A. Fernandez, and David A. Fernandez. She worked as a waitress for the Riversedge Restaurant at Patuxent Naval Air Station in Patuxent River, MD and was a member of the Filipino American Society of Southern Maryland.
