A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Bushwood, MD with Father Charles Cortinovis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery
Visitation:
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD.
Stephen Malvin Lacey, Sr. “Skeeter”,77, of Chaptico, MD passed away at his home on November 3, 2014. Born on September 25, 1937 in Leonardtown, MD, he was the son of the late Ada Quade Lacey and Walter Lacey of Chaptico, MD. Skeeter was the loving husband of Ruby Hill Lacey whom he married on January 25, 1974 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Bushwood, MD. Skeeter is survived by his children: Janet Clements of La Plata, MD, Stephen Malvin Lacey, Jr., Susan Strickland, Charles Lacey, all of Chaptico, MD, 10 grandchildren, one due in February, 2015, and brother John Lacey of Chaptico, MD. He was preceded in death by his siblings; Elsie Morgan, Calvin Lacey, James A. Lacey, and Leonard Lacey. Skeeter was a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County, MD. Skeeter was a lifetime farmer and retired in 2001. He enjoyed hunting, baseball, and spending time with his family.

Stephen Malvin Lacey, Sr. “Skeeter”,77, of Chaptico, MD passed away at his home on November 3, 2014. Born on September 25, 1937 in Leonardtown, MD, he was the son of the late Ada Quade Lacey and Walter Lacey of Chaptico, MD.
