A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 10:00AM in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Avenue, MD with Father Charles Cortinovis officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Bushwood, MD.
Visitation:
The Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 2:00PM to 5:00PM with prayers recited at 3:00PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD.
Mary "Lucille" Tennyson , 89 of Avenue, MD passed away on January 14, 2015 at her residence. Born February 26, 1925 in Leonardtown, MD , she was the daughter of the late Clarence F. and Loretta A. Banagan Mattingly. Lucille was the loving wife of the late George S. Tennyson, Jr. whom preceded her in death on May 21, 1977. She is survived by her daughter Judy Delahay of Avenue, MD, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son inlaw Jimmy Delahay.
Lucille was a lifelong St. Mary's County resident and graduated from Margaret Brent High School. Lucille was the Assistant Post Master in Leonardtown for many years. She loved reading books.

Mary "Lucille" Tennyson , 89 of Avenue, MD passed away on January 14, 2015 at her residence. Born February 26, 1925 in Leonardtown, MD , she was the daughter of the late Clarence F. and Loretta A.
