John Patrick Wathen, “Johnny”, 50, of Huntingtown, MD, formerly from Loveville, MD, passed away on September 9, 2015 in Washington, DC. Born on February 12, 1965 in Leonardtown, MD, he was the son of the late Catherine Phyllis Morgan Wathen and John Aloysius Wathen. Johnny was the loving husband of Jeannie Wathen, whom he married on September 9, 2006 in Lusby, MD. Johnny is survived by his children; Kenny Wathen of Lexington Park, MD, Kevan Wathen of Leonardtown, MD, Allison Lewis, Jacob Wathen of Huntingtown, MD and 1 grandchild. Siblings: Pauline Wathen of Huntingtown, MD, Maurice Wathen of Leonardtown, MD, Roger Wathen of Leonardtown, MD, Carroll Wathen of Huntingtown, MD, Elvis Wathen of Hollywood, MD, Johnson Wathen of Virginia, Dale Wathen, and Mark Wathen of Leonardtown, MD. Johnny was a carpenter and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding ATV’s. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Bill Nickerson officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens Leonardtown, MD.
