Diana Lynn Casoni “Lady Di”, of Hollywood, MD passed away at her home on April 13, 2016. Born on March 16, 1955 in Cincinnati, OH. She was the daughter of the late Edna Grace (Pence) Plummer and Richard Elvas Plummer. Diana was the loving wife of Gregory Alan Casoni whom she married on January 9, 1982 in Cincinnati, OH. Diane is survived by her children; Tara Dean (David) of Valrico, FL, Crystal Nelson (Noodles) of Hollywood, MD, Dawn Burch (Bobby) of Hollywood, MD, 10 grandchildren; Deanne (Matt) Sydnor, Lil David Dean, Dylan Casoni-Burch, Grace Nelson, Alan Nelson, Leland Nelson, Patrick Nelson, Bryce Burch, Shane Burch, and Jordan Nelson, siblings; Richard (Darlene) Plummer of Palm Harbor, FL, Julia (Mike) Broderick of Harrison, OH, David (Pam) Plummer of Lawrenceburg, IN, Jeffrey (Donnie)Plummer of Houston, TX, Rebecca (Jay) Wingard of Cincinnati, OH, Melissa (Kevin) Mattox of Elmwood Place, OH and sister-in-law Carin (Bernie) Cook of Union, NJ
She graduated from Western Hills high school in 1973, and moved from Orlando, FL Naval Training Center to St. Mary’s County, MD in 1980. Diana served in the United States Navy from May, 1980 to May, 1984, while serving the United States Navy, she earned the First Good Conduct Award. Her duty stationed included Patuxent River Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD. Diana was a housewife and also worked as a Daycare provider from 1985 to 1994 ,she belonged to the Knights Motorcycle Club, Abate of St. Mary’s, Hollywood Vol. Rescue Squad, All American Hog, VFW, American Legion, DAV, and Women of Military.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 18, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Hollywood Vol. Fire Department Hall Hollywood, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 10:00 Am in the Hollywood Vol. Fire Department Hall with Father Ray Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens Leonardtown, MD.
Pallbearers will be; David Dean, Jr., Noodles Nelson, Bobby Burch, Tommy Ray Chedester, Dale Ridgell and Shane Weasenforth. Honorary pallbearers will be: Deanne Sydnor, Matt Edwards, Lil David Dean, Dylan Casoni-Burch, Grace Nelson, Alan Nelson, Leland Nelson, Patrick Nelson, Bryce Burch, Shane Burch and Jordan Nelson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of St. Mary’s and/or the Hollywood Volunteer Rescue Squad.

We’re so sorry for your loss your mom she was a very special person and will sadly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Your mom was such a strong person and had gone through so much in the last few years. She will always be there with and for you in your thoughts.

Our heartfelt sympathy. Mawmaw was a strong and beautiful lady who will be missed by many. She fought one heck of a battle and has now earned her angel wings. We love you and lift everyone up in prayer during this difficult time. Hugs to all!
Casoni Family, St. Mary’s County has lost a truly great and wonderful person. She was the center of her family and loved by all. She had hard knocks, but she still kept up her caring and loving spirit. May Lady Di rest in peace and praying that God will comfort the family and give them strength for tomorrow.

Miss Lady Di was a truly wonderful, kind and giving person who could could always give you a good laugh or hug when ya needed it. She loved you all with all her heart and fought like a champ! We know the days, weeks and months that lie ahead will be difficult for all of you, but know that none of you are alone. You have each other and the strong support of your friends beside you. And while I know she is gone from this world physically, she lives on through each of you and all of us in the memories we will forever cherish.

My heart goes out to the Casoni family. Di was a great lady. She was always fill of spit & fire. I have so many good memories of times we had together. She has been one tough cookie through this all. You will be missed greatly. I love you dearly. My thought & prayers go out to the Greg & the girls.
