My deepest sympathy to the family and friends as well as the brothers and sisters of the Red Line.
I grew up in District Heights Maryland and was a majorette with Co 26. I remember how these heroes served their communities honorably and how deserving they are of our support.
May John rest peacefully in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and may God bless the families with the peace that only His love can give.
Yours in Christ,
Helen Mull, Deltona, Florida

John was just the nicest , sweetest guy and we looked forward to seeing you , John and Abigail every Sunday Morning at 7AM mass in the pew in front of us. It made our day to see the smiling cute face and we could see the love you both shared with each other and with Abigail. We saw deep faith you shared with each other and shared with your darling little girl. We will miss John so very much as many will that he touched their lives.Life is a funny thing sometime , we never realize how the littlest thing we do touch others. Dawn , you are in our thoughts and prayers and we will be at 7am Mass awaiting to see Abigail’s smiling face, and know John is still there with us as well.

On behalf of the Société de Police – IPD Adam & Edward of Indianapolis, Indiana USA, our condolences to the family and friends of John E. Ulmschneider on his passing away from this life.
Such a death of anyone in public safety service, known or unknown personally, brings an enlightenment of mortality that many have been blessed to have bypass us.
Such a death should remind us always that we are still alive… Perhaps for some yet unforeseen significant purpose in our work.
Such a loss of our fellow will not be in vain for the many who have taken note again just how quick the challenges of our duties and responsibilities can negatively impact us.
For our fellow public safety servant, “Skillet,” we pray his travels take him directly to a place of eternal rest.
Fidelis Ad Mortem
Our heartfelt sympathy to Skillet’s wife, daughter, parents, family and extended Fire/EMS extended family and many friends. There are no words to express our thoughts and feelings but be assured of our prayers. We are part of the Fire Department/Auxiliary family, Company 5, in Avenue. May God bless Skillet for all the great things he has done for so many and may God bless all of you too. May you find comfort and be consoled by all those who love and care for you so deeply.
Thoughts and prayers to the family and thank you for your serve.
