Rosalie “Rosie” Catherine Abell, 88, of Loveville, MD, formerly from Hughesville, MD passed away on May 19, 2016 in Callaway, MD. Born June 23, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Anna Adell Suite and Louis Suite. Rosie was the loving wife of the late Francis A. Abell, whom she married on July 11, 1953 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Mechanicsville, MD and who preceded her in death on February 21, 2009. Rosie is survived by her children; John Abell (Debbie) of Mechanicsville, MD, Billy Abell, Brenda Abell, and Michael Abell all of Loveville, MD, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and her brother Matthew Suite of Mechanicsville, MD. She was preceded in death by her daughter Debra Buckler and son Mike Abell, siblings; Earl Suite, Norris Suite, and Louise Padgett. She was a lifelong St. Mary’s County, MD resident and graduated from Margaret Brent in 1945. Rose worked as a Teacher’s Aide in Mother Catherine Spalding School in Helen, MD. Her family was her hobby, taking care of everyone, and making them happy.
The family will received on Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM with prayers recited at 3:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Morganza, MD with Father Keith Woods officiating. Interment followed in Charles Memorial Gardens Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers will be; Frankie Lathrom, Steve Gragan, Brian Russell, John F. Abell, Jr., Lee Wedding, and Joe Jackson.

Brenda and all the Family, So sorry to hear the news from Deacon Lloyd this morning. Betty Lee and I were beginning to visit all our Loveville neighbors and she was on our list. So sorry we didn’t get to see her; but she’ll always be in our hearts and good memories.
John, Brenda, Billy, Michael and families, we were saddened to hear about Rosalie. May God be with you now and forever.

Brenda, Billy, Johnny, Mike, and the Entire family, I know this is a very hard time for all of you. I will sorely miss my Sweet Aunt Rosie. She is finally at peace and in Heaven with all the other Sweet Angels now. My fondest memories as a little girl were spent at your home! Playing outside and running everywhere with all my cousins for hours was the purest of freedom and enriched my life forever. You never went hungry or thirsty ever! The laughter and love was endless. Dear Brenda and family, I was very sad to hear that Aunt Rosie had passed. I am with you all in my heart, for I have been down this road before. She was a wonderful woman and will no longer suffer as she is surely in the arms of Our Lord. Her love and memories will always be with you and everyone one who knew her. To the family of Mrs. Abell: We are so sorry to hear of her passing but know that she is now with God. She was such a lovely lady. It is never easy to lose a loved one but losing your Mom is the hardest. Brenda and Billy, you took such great care of your Mom and now she is in heaven and will be watching over you. She left you with so many beautiful memories and those memories will live on and will be treasures to love and hold dear in your heart forever. RIP Mrs. Abell.
