Our prayers and thoughts go out to the family.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God’s sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.
Dear Martha and Family,
Our deepest sympathy, may your many wonderful memories bring you comfort during this difficult time.
Many of you knew him as “Oats”, I knew him as “Brother Wathen” my Dad’s cousin and dear friend. I have many fond memories of “Brother” through the years, I especially delighted when he would stop by our house or my Dad’s office with a cooler of fresh seafood.
Brother always made the time to come and visit and give my Dad an update on what was going on in the family/county. Brother and Martha worked tirelessly during my brother Danny’s campaign. He was a constant source of help, support and friendship.
Thank you Brother for making a difference and being a loyal friend and family member.
Until we meet again, rest in peace.
Love, Julie

Dear Martha and family – We are so sorry to hear of Oats passing. We remember the good times we had at Billy and Shirley’s cottage, listening to Oats tell his stories of being on the water.
