Joseph "Anthony" Lang
March 11, 1944 ~ July 14, 2017
Joseph “Anthony” Lang, 73, of California, MD, passed away Friday July 14, 2017 in Baltimore Shock Trauma Center. Anthony was born March 11, 1944 in Leonardtown, Maryland to Paul Frank and Agnes Wheeler Lang of Great Mills, MD. He grew up in Great Mills and graduated Ryken High School in 1961. On June 27, 1964 he married Elaine Yeatman at Holy Face Church in Great Mills. They shared 53 years together. Anthony enjoyed being on the water, fishing and crabbing, as well as watching the Orioles play ball, and spending time with his family.
Anthony was preceded in death by his father Frank Lang. He is survived by his wife Elaine of California, MD; his mother, Agnes Lang of California, MD; his children Denise Bennett of Valley Lee, Richard (Beverly) Lang of Lexington Park, and Steven (Cindy) Lang of Dameron; two sisters, Mary Ellen (William) Parron of Hollywood, MD, and Donna (James) Falkowski of California, MD; his twelve grand children; and three great grand children.
Family and friends will be received Friday July 21, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Mattingley- Gardiner Funeral Home in Leonardtown, MD with prayers recited at 7:00 pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held at Holy Face Church on Saturday July 22 at 10:00 am with Rev Jerry Gamrot officiating, assisted by Deacon Paul Bielewicz. Intermit will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens in Leonardtown. Pallbearers will be Joshua Bennett, Jacob Lang, Steven Stillwell, Lucas Lang, Bruce Bingman, and Barry Bingman.

Elaine, so very sorry to hear of Anthony’s passing. Prayers to you and the family. Our daughter still remembers him as duck, duck, goose 40 years later.

Anthony was one of a kind remember our days in the tobacco fields and all the visits you and him made up to moms and daddys. We truly will miss him. may God wrap his loving arms around you and his children and grandchildren hugs of love sent your way and if you need us we are here.
