E. Dianne Reeder
January 9, 1942 ~ July 21, 2017
Elizabeth “Dianne” Reeder, 75, of Dameron, MD, passed away on July 21, 2017, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Born January 9, 1942 in Leonardtown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Wesley H. and Clara M. Saunders Somers. She was the loving wife of William “Billy” J. Reeder who preceded her in death on August 1, 1998 and whom she married on April 11, 1970.
Dianne is survived by her children: John E. “Peanut” Gatton (Dawn) of Ridge, MD and Susan Y. Oliver (Joey) of Hollywood, MD; 4 grandchildren: Kaylee and Kelcee Oliver and Logan and Tyler Gatton; Sibling: Brenda Raley (Keith) of Ridge, MD; 2 nieces: Kristee Boyle and Kellee Raley. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her faithful furry companion “Skipper”.
Dianne enjoyed traveling, shopping, entertaining, baking, and spending time with her family. In her retirement years, she could be found at Spinnakers Restaurant helping her cousin Kay, Aunt Millie, and friend Joyce. Her homemade desserts were a big hit with the customers.
Dianne was a member of the Ridge Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD with Prayers will be recited at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Funeral Home Chapel with David Cullison officiating. Interment will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers will be Tyler Gatton, Joey Oliver, Charlie Tennyson, David Cullison, Keith Raley, and Tony Ridgell. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Ridge Volunteer Fire Department and Auxiliary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 520, Ridge, MD 20680 or the Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 456, Ridge, MD 20680.

So sorry to hear this. She was one of those “5 close cousins” all born the same year ! Only 2 left. My sincere condolences and prayers to Susan and the whole family.

My deepest deepest sympathy on the loss of your mom (Dianne). She was a great lady and was always so good to my mom Alice (Farrell). I know this is difficult time but, she is in a better place. And I know her and my mom are chatting up a storm in heaven. My mom would be telling her all the gossip she knew. Sending you prayers.
