Lillian Marie "Wennie" Howard

Lillian “Wennie” Marie Howard, 86, of La Plata, MD formerly from Loveville, MD, and Lehigh Acres, FL passed away on April 21, 2020 in Arlington, VA. She was born on October 17, 1933 in Washington D.C., and was the loving daughter of the late Nellie Agnes Mattingly Jones and Joseph Buckler. Wennie was the loving wife of the late Erwin C. Howard, Jr. who preceded her in death on May 9th 2009.
She is survived by her son Kenneth Dale Howard of Chaptico, MD, 3 grandchildren and 5 Great grandchildren, siblings Mildred Bridgett of Myrtle Beach, SC, Mary Ann Forrest of Ridge, MD, and James C. Jones of Clinton, MD. She was preceded in death by her son Ernest Lee Howard and her sisters Neota Forrest and Margaret Jones. She attended Sterling High School. Wennie was a bookkeeper for the International Union of Operating Engineers.

To the Howard family. Mrs. Howard was a friend of our family when she lived in Loveville. She was a dear friend of my mother and Ernie (from Glen Bernie) was a good friend of ours. Mrs. Howard was one of the sweetest women we ever met and we are saddened to hear about her passing. We trust that she is in Heaven with our Lord. Prayers for her and you all.
