Alice Bailey Donberger, 85, of Avenue, MD, formerly of Ft. Washington, MD, passed away on December 30, 2021 in Leonardtown, MD. Born on November 26, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Pearl Culler Bailey and the late Robert Bailey. Alice was the loving wife of Paul E. Donberger, whom she married at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Avenue, MD. She is survived by her son, Anthony, of Ashburn, VA, her siblings Robert P. Bailey, Jr. of Avenue, MD, Ted Bailey of Leonardtown, MD and Jay McCleae of Leonardtown, MD, as well as two grandchildren, Allyson and Anthony.
Alice graduated from St. John Regional Catholic School, Frederick, MD, in 1954. She worked as a Supervisor for Verizon D.C. for 38 years until her retirement on December 31, 1991, and moved to St. Mary’s County, MD from Ft. Washington, MD in March 2021.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with prayers recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 10:00 AM in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Avenue, MD, with Father Stephen Wyble officiating. Interment will be private.
