Barbara Carol Hall
February 13, 1970 ~ January 25, 2022
Barbara Carol Hall, 51, of Chaptico, MD, died on January 25, 2022 with her family by her side. Born February 13, 1970, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of Carolyn L. Earnshaw and the late Robert Lee Earnshaw, Sr. of Mechanicsville.
She attended Mother Catherine Spalding School and graduated from St. Mary’s Ryken in June 1988. She received her Associate’s in Nursing and RN from the College of Southern Maryland in 1990.
Barbara had a natural gift for taking care of people; she was very conscientious in serving her patients with dignity, respect, and true compassion. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her feel comfortable. She was a bright spark in this world and will be deeply missed by many.
When Barbara was young, she could be seen playing softball and drinking shortly after. She was the life of the party and had a pink truck that couldn’t be missed.
Once she was married, she continued her passion for ball by cheering on her boys as they played. She also loved doing 4H with her sons, where they showed their cattle. As the boys grew, she supported and cheered them on as they found their own passions.
Her favorite place was her front porch, her happy place. She loved looking over at the farm, seeing the animals, and catching glimpses of her husband. Her porch also oversaw her garden where she enjoyed growing all types of vegetables for canning and cooking.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Martin Hall, whom she married on August 2, 1997, and the proud mother of two sons: Beau Michael Hall (Alexis) and Samuel Martin Hall, her two granddaughters Luna and River Hall, as well as her brother Robert Lee Earnshaw, Jr. and her sister Allison C. Williams.
The family will receive friends for Barbara’s Life Celebration on Monday, February 21, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with prayers recited at 7:00 PM at the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, 41590 Fenwick Street, Leonardtown, MD 20650. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on February 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 23080 Maddox Road, Bushwood, MD 20618. Interment will immediately follow at the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be David Guy, Justin Beavers, Sean Angel, Shane Angel, Chad Lacey, and Robert Bailey.

Dennis & family, Earnshaw Family
Our deepest condolences to you all @ this time of sorrow you are going through. Barbara was a very special person in her own way. I will treasure what I learned from her in training in the nursing profession.
Prayers to you all
Rest In Peace Barbara
Dennis and children I am so sorry to hear of Barbara’s passing. She was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed. Her and I worked at St. Marys hospital in the 90’s and then at Bean Building. Prayers for you all.
To Robert your sister Barbara was a wonderful and sweet person. We talked about you often when she first started at the hospital. I remember she hit when we were looking out of the window and I said whoever was driving the pink powder puff must be blond. She will be missed. Prayers for you and your family.
Dennis & Family & Earnshaw Family,
If you knew Barbara, you loved her. A wonderful nurse to so many, a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and a friend to many. She loved her family beyond measure and was so proud of each one of you. She told me many times of how much she loved her Dennis when we worked together. Although no words of sympathy can ease the loss you all bear, still, may you find some comfort knowing how much others truly care.
I am so sorry to hear about Barbara. We went to nursing school together. Sending prayers for her family and friends.
Dennis an family, I am so very sorry to receive the news of Barbara passing. Love an hugs to all. My prayers are with you.
Dear Dennis, Bo and Sam,
While Barbara left way too soon for our comfort, her legacy lives on in all the rays of light she spread during her life.
It has been my honor and privilege to have known her over the years. I will never forget her.
With sympathy,
Sabrina Sepulveda
All,
I was so very saddened to hear the news of Barbara’s passing. I will always remember the laughs, smiles, and fun we had each year at the nurses parties. She was part of my youth and a smile when I think back, a tear when I think about today and comfort when I look in the sky and see a new star. Hugs to your family.
