I am deeply sadden to hear of the passing of Christina. I’ve known her since 1991. She put up a hard fight. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Crystal Miedzinski Lord
Christina and I became professional friends around the year 2000. We car pooled together from Pax River to Oceana for a MIDS conference. Eight hours together in a car (down and back) and the conversations were great! Our careers crossed paths mays times over the past 20+ years and she was always a joy to work with. She was a great combination of intelligence, wisdom, professionalism, humor and dedication. Too soon she has been taken from us all.
I so enjoyed going to Christina’s house and playing with her Doberman, who didn’t trust me at first but then once CC told her it was OK she just became a happy ball of energy. Christina did amazing things throughout her career, and never let the bureaucracy get her down. She always found a way, always fighting for the best result and usually getting it. Her dedication was contagious and she made everyone around her, especially at the CWD, better at a new sport. Naval Aviation was so lucky to have her decades of contributions in so many areas, and to me she was a Godsend as a Deputy and surrogate leader. We loved her hiking and travel adventures as we tracked her progress remotely. Love, prayers and condolences to her family, she will be sorely missed.
I know Christina touched so many lives in the very best way. I also know her contributions to NAVAIR will live on. Tom and Carol, sending love, thoughts, and prayers to you and your family during this tough time.
I worked with Christina when she was Chief of Staff for the T&E Group. She brought such a wonderful perspective to the job and the organization. I remember very well her sense of fun and the way she brought it to our employee recognition events. I had the best time with her when we traveled to the West Coast. We worked hard but spent time relaxing with a glass of wine and indulging in retail therapy. She loved her dog Lexi and always spoke with great fondness about her parents and family. She was especially kind to me when my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Words cannot express how much that helped me through a very difficult time. She was a role model for many within NAVAIR, a truly wonderful friend and one of the sweetest spirits I have ever met. Your loss is so great and you have my most heartfelt sympathy. There is another star in the sky now. Cris Whelan
Very sorry for your loss. Christina was a staple in NAVAIR excellence delivery safe and secure products to the fleet. Her loss will be felt within our work community, but more importantly in her personnel life. God Bless.
I just saw this memorial wall post. My deepest condolences to the family. I met Christina and her Mom years ago in New Jersey. Carol was always so full of joy when relating Christina’s adventures and experiences growing up in New Jersey It is not possible to write words to ease the pain. Remember and cherish forever the times that were very happy so long ago. (john_mellars@yahoo.com)
