Linda was born on December 21, 1947 to Marjorie Jean and Henry Gordon Trimble. She was a graduate of Bridgewater State College and the University of Notre Dame. Linda was a beloved public school teacher in St. Mary's County, who began as a kindergarten teacher in 1986 . She retired as a 5th grade teacher from Mechanicsville Elementary in 2010. In retirement, she achieved a lifelong dream of publishing a historical murder mystery series, beginning with "Snow's Rest: A Maryland Mystery" in 2016. Linda was grateful to the care and support of the nurses and doctors of St. Mary's Hospital and HOSPICE. She also had amazing neighbors: Anne Marum, Tracy Noel Clinning, Mary and Mary Kay Handy, and Laura Guido. 1. I am so sorry to learn of Linda’s death. She was my daughter’s kindergarten teacher many years ago when she taught at Oakville Elementary School. My daughter loved her and loved being in her class. She learned to read with her. Linda made a real difference. My condolences to her family and friends. Patty Parsons

  2. Sorry to learn of the passing of a fellow student of art at the Yellowline. Linda always added her beauty and gentleness to our classes. I enjoyed her and her works of art.

  3. HI! I was just forwarded this news about Linda from a former student. Linda was such a light at our studio, Yellow Line – she always was encouraging to other people, and was so giving and kind. She loved drawing and illustrating her stories and we enjoyed her books and artwork so much! I met Linda at the Senior Center in 2017 at a portrait drawing workshop that I led and she became a weekly student at Yellow Line shortly after. She talked a lot about her family and was so proud! She also talked about the birds and squirrels that came to her window. Sending love to the family, Carrie (owner) and the other adult students at Yellow Line.
