Owen Francis Windsor, Jr., “Sonny”, 84, of California, MD, formerly of Clinton, MD, passed away on September 8, 2023 in Leonardtown, MD. Born on January 24, 1939 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Margaret Devaughn and the late Owen F. Windsor, Sr. Owen was the loving husband of Joyce Levada Windsor, whom he married on February 18, 1961 in District Heights, MD. He is survived by his children Kenneth Windsor (Linda) of Mechanicsville, MD and Michael Windsor of California, MD, and his siblings Patrick Windsor (Sue) of Silver Spring, MD and Sandra Fitzpatrick (Michael) on Henderson, MD. Owen was preceded in death by his sisters Mary Anne King and Linda Forbes.
Owen attended high school in Upper Marlboro, MD, and served in the U.S. Army for six years, from 1957 to February 1963, during which time he was stationed in Hawaii. He was a manager for Atlantic Auto Parts, retiring in 2004.
A private inurnment will be held at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD at a later date.
