Mary Aileen Walters

Mary Aileen Walters, 93, passed away peacefully, November 9, 2023 at St. Mary’s Nursing Center in Leonardtown, Maryland. Born on August 11, 1930. Mary was the eldest daughter of Bernard and Ambrosia White of Annapolis, Maryland. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Lawrence White, and sisters, Juanita Clow and Rhoda Schatz. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Lucas, and brother, James White. Mary was known throughout her life as a hard worker and independent spirit. She graduated from Annapolis High School. She entered the workforce at a young age and retired at the age of seventy-seven. She dedicated 30 plus years to St Mary’s County Office on Aging as an Administrative Secretary. She was famous for organizing a cadre of beloved volunteers to prepare and ready for distribution the office’s New Beginnings newsletter before it went to a technically automated process. Mary was also an animal lover and had many dogs in her loving care over the years. Her precious Pomeranian companion, Baron, predeceased Mary by several years.
