My condolences and heartfelt sympathies to Nancy’s children, extended family, and friends… Ms Mazza taught me first year French while at Ryken HS back in ~1979 when I was a freshman. She was a very conscientious teacher, and was very patient with us while we attempted the verbal gymnastics of twisting our Southern MD accents into the flowing romance language of French. She would also occasionally have us make French cuisine as a homework assignment, to bring to school for our classmates and her to enjoy a taste of France. These were some of my toughest homework assignments, as one involved a half dozen tries getting the egg based pastry dough of the eclairs to rise properly. It was worth the effort, though, as everyone enjoyed the treat… Fond memories. I bid a heartfelt “adieu”… – Jon Trent
