Charlene Ann Norris, 79, of Avenue, MD, formerly of Laurel Grove, MD, passed away on May 27, 2024, in Washington, D.C. Born on March 29, 1945, in Leonardtown, MD, she was daughter of the late Elizabeth I. “Puddin” Lacey Huseman and the late Charles Ross Huseman. Charlene was the loving wife of the late Cecil Matthew Norris, whom she married on February 9, 1973, in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Avenue, MD, and who preceded her in death on April 16, 2018. Charlene is survived by her brothers, Charles A. “Al” Huseman (Linda) of Bushwood, MD, Richard “Dickie” Huseman (Diane) of Hollywood, MD, Michael “Mike” Huseman (Millie) of Abell, MD, Francis “Franny” Huseman (Vicky) of Avenue, MD, and Jeffrey “Jeff” Huseman (Theresa) of Ridgeville, SC.
Charlene was a lifelong St. Mary’s County, MD resident and attended Margaret Brent High School. She was an Inspections Supervisor for SMECO in Leonardtown, MD. Charlene enjoyed all of life’s adventures over the years with her husband, Cecil, playing cards, word search games, trips to Dover, and spending time with family.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Avenue, MD, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM with Father Kevin Fields officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Mechanicsville, MD. Serving as pallbearers will be Al Huseman, Franny Huseman, Jeff Huseman, Richie Huseman, CJ Huseman, and Jack Bateman. Honorary pallbearers will be Dickie Huseman and Mike Huseman.
