Judith Lynn Sanger Balta, “Judy”, 73, of Valley Lee, MD, passed away on August 26, 2024, in Leonardtown, MD. Born on August 25, 1951, in Leonardtown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Elaine Russell Sanger and the late George F. Sanger, Sr. Judy was the loving wife of Francis A. Balta, whom she married on May 10, 1978, in Leonardtown, MD. She is survived by her sister, Charlotte Greco of Ft. Myers, FL, her niece, Cindy Hubbard (Brad) of Flower Mound, TX, and her nephew Michael Greco (Khrys) of Ft. Myers, FL. Judith was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Sanger. Judy graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1969 and graduated from Mercy School of Nursing in 1972 as a registered nurse. She was a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital for 20 years and at Dr. Roach’s practice for 14 years, before her retirement in 2000. Judy enjoyed gardening and working outside. She had a life-long passion for Barbies, The Rolling Stones, and the Washington Redskins. During her years of retirement, she loved vacationing at the beach with her husband and spending quality time with family and friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD, where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Father David Beaubien officiating.
