Allen Richard Dart, 67, passed away on November 17, 2025, in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Born on August 31, 1958, in Hawthorne, California, Allen lived a life marked by service, laughter, and deep devotion to his family and faith. Allen proudly served his country in the United States Navy for eight years. Following his military service, he dedicated himself to public service as a civil servant for nearly 20 years. His commitment to duty and community was a defining part of his life’s work. A man of strong faith, Allen was a God-fearing Christian whose beliefs guided him throughout his life. He found joy in simple pleasures and had an unmistakable zest for life that touched everyone around him. Known for his storytelling, often repeating the same tales with a familiar twinkle in his eye—Allen had a gift for bringing people together through humor and conversation. His love of laughter was matched only by his affection for Hallmark movies, which he enjoyed both secretly and openly. Sports were a lifelong passion for Allen. He played in various baseball leagues over the years and remained an avid fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers. He also rooted enthusiastically for the Redskins and Washington Capitals. When not watching or playing sports, he could often be found on the golf course enjoying a round with friends or family. Allen deeply loved his family and cherished time spent with them. He is survived by his daughters Sherry Mroz (Tom), Kimberly Palmer (Steve), and Kellie Dart; his son Terry Dart (Erin); and his brothers Terry Dart, Gary Dart, Andy Pruden, Randy Dart and Donald Dart, as well as nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Arnold Dart (Marlene), mother, Rosalie Pruden, and sister Theresa Hare. Allen’s warmth, humor, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his passing and joy to those who recall the many moments shared with him. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 AM, with Pastor Dennis Gillikin officiating.
