  8. I met Carole around the time she had fallen in love with Pee Wee in the 1960’s. She was staying in St, Clements shores with some family. And it happened that Tub and I happened to be living in the Shores . We all decided we were going to the Southern 500 Race in September. When we hit the road to go laughing and having a great time. we got to the first state line we were crossing , Pee Wee pulled off the road. Carole got out of the car and started to walk, and I said what is going on; and Pee wee said her dad would not give her permission to go with him and had also stated that if she went anyway, he would charge him with kidnapping a minor across the state line. So this is what they figured out so she could go anyway. She sure loved that man.
We stayed friends after that, through the years. I loved your mom so much. I ran into Mike at the Post office and asked how Carole was doing and he told me that she had died in January. I am so, so sorry. My Sincere condolences to Andy, Pam, Dianne and Mike.
