Virginia Lee Vogt, née McLaughlin, 102, formerly of Upper Marlboro, MD, passed into the loving embrace of eternity on April 17, 2026, at home surrounded by family. Born in Brownsville, PA on March 10, 1924, Virginia - affectionately known as Ginny - loved to sing and was a proud member of the church choir in her youth. A graduate of Brownsville High School, she dedicated her life to supporting her husband, Lt. Col. John W. Vogt, Sr., and raising their four sons. She had an adventurous spirit that guided her through the challenges of military family life with grace and resolve. Virginia enjoyed traveling, cooking, and great conversation. Above all else, she loved being in the company of her family. She is preceded in death by her husband John, Sr., her son Lt. Col. John W. Vogt, Jr., and her lifelong best friend Dorothy Neese. Virginia is survived by her three sons, Mark, Eric, and Daniel, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Virginia will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery.
