Delorne Alan Goldbloom, A.K.A“ Goldy”or “Dee” 79, of Valley Lee, MD, passed away on April 10, 2026, at is home, with his loving companion, Janis Lee Adams, by his side. Born on December 23, 1946, in Rush City, MN, he was the son of the late Edward Andrew Goldbloom and the late Gladys Louise Burda. In addition to his significant other, Delorne is survived by his children, Loni Jo Heal of Orlando, FL, Tory June Goldbloom of Orlando, FL, and Joey Koehler of Portland, OR, his siblings, David Goldbloom and Daniel Goldbloom, both of North Branch, MN, and his grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, and Victoria Heal, Maddison, and Mason Newland, and Christian Logue, Great-Grandchildren; Micah, Loxley Mae-Lu, Dawson and another expected next month. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Doreen Goldbloom and Darrell Goldbloom. Delorne graduated from North Branch High School in 1967 and earned his Associate of Arts in 1981 from Charles County Community College. He served in the United States Navy for four years, from January 1964 to January 1968, during which time he was stationed in Keflavik, Iceland, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Most recently Delorne retired from the Department of Defense on April 3, 2003, after 40 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the FOP, he enjoyed boating and fishing in his spare time. Delorne was also a gifted musician who loved to play the guitar and sing, he sang like Willie Nelson. Most of all, he loved and cherished Janis, Poppy, his beautiful family, and his amazing community. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.   1. I just read about Goldy’s passing and am very sad to hear this but happy to know that Janis was by his side. I am sure Heaven welcomed him with open arms as he was a very kind and special fun friend always to be remembered for his thoughtfulness and humor.
