Charles Cordell Langley Jr.

Charles Cordell Langley, Jr., 67, of Great Mills, Maryland, passed away on May 25, 2026, at home.
He was born on January 9, 1959, in Great Mills, Maryland, and was the son of the late Betty Anne Langley and Charles Cordell Langley, Sr. Charles was the loving husband of the late Donna Marie Russell Langley, whom he married on May 27, 1978, in Leonardtown, Maryland. She preceded him in death on March 27, 2002.

Charles is survived by his son, Charles Cordell Langley III (Shannon) of Dameron, Maryland; two grandchildren Charles Cordell Langley IV (Chase) Madelyn Rose Langley (Maddie); and his siblings, Julie Ann Hinthorne, Susan Elaine Trossbach, Teresa Charlene Knott, Linda Kathleen Langley, and Robin Minnette Butterfield. Along with his companion Anita Mabie. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Jean Langley.

Charles was a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County, Maryland. He worked as a dump truck operator for Great Mills Trading Post in Great Mills, Maryland.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home in Leonardtown, Maryland. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Father John Nguyen officiating. Interment will follow at St. George Catholic Cemetery in Valley Lee, Maryland. Pallbearers will be Mathew Knott, Jason Knott, Tyler Knott, Wes Butterfield, Patrick Ridgell, and Tony Sevilla. Honorary pallbearer will be Donald Adkins.
