Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 10:30 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home chapel with Deacon Bill Nickerson officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens Leonardtown, MD. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 5:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home chapel with prayers recited at 7:00 PM. Allan Pace Poole, 76, of Marathon. Fl, formerly from Mechanicsville, MD Passed away on November 30, 2013 in Marathon, FL. He was the son of the late James Everard and Evelyn Louise Watkins Poole. Allan was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Poole. Allan is survived by his companion Yaklyn Vargais. His children; Robin Owen (Kevin) of Bushwood, MD, Kevin Poole (Melanie), Steve Poole both of Avenue, MD 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Allan moved from Upper Marlboro to St. Mary’s County, MD in 1970. He was the owner of American Metal Fabricators, Inc., retiring in 1988 after 31 years. After retiring from Amfab,. Allan retired to the Florida Keys where he and his son opened a tackle store and Calcutta offshore baits which they sold in 1994. Allan loved to offshore fish in the Florida Keys, Bahamas, Mexico, Costa Rica, Venezuela, and Cuba. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 10:30 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home with Deacon Bill Nickerson officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers; Kevin Poole, Steve Poole, Larry Burdette, Tommy Fowler, Seth Edge, and Doug Poole, and Honorary pallbearer Kevin Owen.
