A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Francis Burch officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends in the funeral home on Monday, March 31, 2008 from 5 - 8 PM with prayers being said at 7:00 PM.
Aloysius Francis “Allie” Fenwick, IV, 68, of Helen, MD died March 29, 2008 at St. Mary’s Hospital. Born June 11, 1939 in Leonardtown, MD he was the son of the late Aloysius Francis and Anabel Barto Fenwick III. He was the loving husband of Clara Mattingly Fenwick whom he married on June 25, 1960 in St. Johns Church, Hollywood, MD. He is survived by his children; A.F. Fenwick, V, of Havre De Grace, MD, Lisa Cheek and her husband Tom of Ladysmith, VA and Rick Fenwick and his wife Susan of Mechanicsville, MD as well as three grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings; Evelyn Kuffler of Cosa Mesa, CA, Edward Fenwick of Kea’Au, HI and Louise Allen of York, PA. A lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County he was a graduate of Ryken High School “Class of 1957”. He was a computer programmer for the U.S. Postal Service for 34 years, retiring in 1993. Mr. Fenwick was a member of St. Charles Sportsmen’s Club and the St. Mary’s County Amateur Radio Association. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 31, 2008 from 5:00-8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel, Leonardtown, MD where prayers will be held at 7:00 PM led by Msgr. Karl Chimiak. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 10:00 AM in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD with Fr. Francis Burch officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers will be Dr. John Fenwick, William Schultz, Andrew L. Mattingly III, Brian Miller, Buddy Long and William Fenwick.
