Anthony Natale "Tony" Malpasso

Anthony Natale Malpasso “Tony” “Nino”, 95, of Charlotte Hall, MD passed away on August 29, 2016. Born on August 28, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Josephine Viviani Malpasso and Cirino Malpasso. Tony was the loving husband of the late Ernestine Malpasso, whom he married in St. Paul’s Church Brooklyn, NY in 1950, and who preceded him in death on January 13, 2006. Tony is survived by his sons: Anthony C.(Arlene) Malpasso of Waldorf, MD, Brian K. (Peggy) Malpasso of Mechanicsville, MD, 4 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Sibling: Carmelo Malpasso of Brooklyn, NY. He was preceded in death by his brothers Fred Malpasso and Joseph Malpasso. He graduated from Manuela Adsuar-Pizzi Saint Savior Catholic Academy in 1946.
Tony served in the United States Army from February 4, 1943 to November 2, 1945. While serving in the Army he earned the World War II Victory Medal; European African Middle Eastern Service Medal; and Good Conduct Medal. He was stationed in North Africa, Sicily, Rome-Arne, Southern France, Rhineland and Ardennes-Alsace Campaign.
Tony worked as a Meteorological Technician for the NOAA, retiring after 32 years. He moved from Charles County, MD to St. Mary’s County, MD in 1988. Tony was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 26 California, and MD.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Mechanicsville, MD. Interment will follow in Maryland Veterans Cemetery Cheltenham, MD. Pallbearers will be: Anthony C. Malpasso, Anthony W. Malpasso, and Michael Malpasso. Honorary Pallbearer will be: Brian K. Malpasso and Vincent Malpasso.

To the family of Mr. Anthony Malpasso I would like to offer my condolences during this difficult time. I also wanted to send you a comforting scripture. John 5:28, 29 tells us that there is going to be a resurrection and we will have the opportunity to see our loved ones again. This is good news for all of us who have lost someone we love. I hope this has brought you some comfort and again I am so sorry for your loss.
Rest in peace Uncle Nino. I will never forget you.
