“Nana, You kept saying you wanted me to come get you and take you home on Monday. Thank you for waiting for me to get there before you really went home. I don’t know why you chose me out of 80 some family members, but I’m blessed to have that bond with you now and forever. I will never forget all of the times we went to Bingo and to visit Aunt Thelma every summer. I’ll never forget you singing along in the car everywhere we went. Not a day will go by that I won’t think of you. I know you and Nandad are happily back together for this Christmas season. You will feel no more pain, only the joys of Heaven which you have so greatly earned over your 82 fulfilling years here on Earth! We will all miss you here, but I have felt your presence so strongly over the last few days – the beautiful weather yesterday, the double rainbow this morning, and bright sunshine today as I listened to Sugarland’s “Shine the Light” while driving. Please look over Jordan especially. I know you two had a special bond, and he will need you more than ever as he grows into a young man. You’ve always been my greatest inspiration and hero, and nothing can ever change that. I love you so much! Rest in paradise! I’ll meet you on the other side one day! “i carry your heart – i carry it in my heart.””
