Barbara Ann Todd

Barbara Ann Todd, 88, of Lakeland, Florida, formerly of Hollywood, Maryland, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025. She was born on October 1, 1937, the beloved daughter of the late Abel and Lillian Johnson. Barbara was a proud graduate of St. Mary’s Academy, Class of 1956, and carried the values of dedication, integrity, and kindness throughout her life. She spent more than 20 years working in the banking industry before continuing her career in public service with the State of Maryland. Barbara served for 12 years as a Finance Officer for the St. Mary’s County Department of Social Services, where she was respected for her professionalism, diligence, and commitment to serving the community. Later in life, Barbara entered her second marriage to Frank Todd, and in 2004 they relocated to Lakeland, Florida, where she made her home. Although Barbara had no biological children, family was defined by love rather than blood. She lovingly claimed her longtime coworker and best friend, Glenda Mast, as her daughter, and cherished Glenda’s children, Erica and Danny, whom she proudly called her grandchildren. Barbara’s loyalty, warmth, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on January 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, Hollywood, Maryland, with Father Ryan Braam officiating. Arrangements are being provided by Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Erica Mast Buckler and Daniel Wayne Mast. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John’s Catholic Church in Barbara’s memory. Barbara will be remembered for her strong work ethic, quiet strength, and the deep affection she showed to those she held close. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the relationships she nurtured.
