Services: A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, July 17, 2005 at 3PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel Visitation: Visitation will be held Sunday, July 17, 2005 from 2PM till 5PM in the Funeral Home Chapel Barry Lynn "Bear" McDonald, 51, of Leonardtown, MD died July 8, 2005 in Clinton, MD. Born March 22, 1954 in Salisbury, MD, he was the son of Gordan Franklin McDonald and the late Shirlay Lee Hitch. He is survived by his wife, Joan Ann McDonald, whom he married in Leonardtown, MD. He is also survived by his children, Ralph Tawney, James Tawney, and Malinda Phillippi all of Lexington Park, MD and Darlene Peavy of Jacksonville, FL and his grandchildren: John Michael Peavy; Bibby, Jissica, John and Jennfer Phillippi; Angel M., Sara and Jillian Tawney; James T. Tawney III; and, Ralph Tawney IV. Also surviving are his siblings, Craig McDonald of Milford, DE; Stuwart McDonald of Pinelas Park, FL; Sandra McDonald of Hurlock, MD; Gayle Hughs of East New Market; and Kenneth McDonald of Dolmar, MD and eight nieces and nephews. Mr. McDonald was a graduate of Cardinal Richardson High School land was employed as a Master Electrician with IBEW Union, Local 26. He enjoyed all sports especially Darts, Football and Golf. His favorite foods included Crabs and Cream of Crab Soup. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 17, 2005 from 2:00 â?? 5:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM with Rev. Joe Dobson officiating. Interment will be Private.
