Services: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Compton, MD with Fr. Brian Sanderfoot officiating. Interment will be held on Tuesday April 9, 2013 at 1:30 PM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery Bushwood, MD. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home chapel with prayers recited at 3:00 PM. Betty Louise Lacey, 79 of Leonardtown, MD formerly of 7th District, died on April 4, 2013 at her residence. Born February 22, 1934 in Washington, DC to the late Gilbert Farr and Alice Louise Atwell Moore. She was the loving wife of the late James Godfrey Lacey, Sr., whom she married in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Compton, MD. Betty is survived by her children: Patricia Ann Kiser, Dala Lee (Sonny) Brecar, both of Mechanicsville, MD, James Godfrey (Barbara) Lacey, Jr. of Mississippi, Lucheria Amanda Fox, Mary Angela Bowles , Paula Ceilia (David)Lathroum, Katherine Lee (Danny) Kolbe all of Leonardtown, MD, Dudley Gilbert Lacey, Norman Albert (Luvina) both of Great Mills, MD, and John Benjamin (Ann) Lacey of Hollywood, MD, siblings; Kenneth Moore of Clinton, MD, Gilbert F. Moore of Colonial Beach, VA, and John Sotos of Chesterfield, VA, Betty is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband Betty was preceded in death by a son Francis Michael Lacey. Betty was a Bus driver for the Center for Life Enrichment for 35 years retiring in 2004. She enjoyed Bingo, crafts, spending time with her family, and especially all of her grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 2:00PM to 5:00PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home with prayers recited at 3:00PM. Interment will take place on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 1:30PM in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Bushwood, MD. Pallbearers will be; Michael Fox, Richy Fox, Danny Kolbe, Bobby Lacey, D.J. Lathroum, Jimbo Lacey, Ryan Bowles, and Jimmy Fox. Contributions may be made to the Cedar Lane Apartments, 22680 Cedar Lane Court, Leonardtown, MD 20650
