Beverly Ann Gibson was born in Baltimore, Maryland. She grew up in Howard County and graduated from Howard High School in 1963. A couple of weeks after graduation, she married Francis Gibson in June 1963, and they had 63 wonderful years before her passing. The two met at a church dance at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Morganza, Maryland.
Beverly was a woman of strong faith. She deeply loved her family and they deeply loved her.
Beverly was very active in the community. She was a member of the American Legion Post Ladies Auxiliary, Seventh District Rescue Squad Ladies Auxiliary, cleaned Holy Angels Catholic Church, made baptismal bibs for the church and baked cakes, brownies and cookies for various functions for those organizations. The most requested cake that she made was an applesauce cake. Sometimes the cake would be sold before the actual bake sale.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Hayden. She is survived by her husband Francis Jenkins Gibson Jr., son Francis Jenkins Gibson III (Norma Jean), daughter Carmen Ashburn (Joe), granddaughter Sarah Gibson (Colby), grandson Matthew Ashburn, her sister Joan Walter (Rod) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Francis, Bunky and Carmen,
Thinking about you and your mom and keeping you all in our prayers. We always enjoyed visiting with Francis and Beverly at their home and never left without Beverly giving us something delicious from their garden! Beverly made us feel welcome every time we saw her, and it was great to get her updates on what Bunky and Carmen were doing since we weren’t sure we could trust what Francis was telling us. Please take care,
Andy, Maria, Nico, Angela, and Jack
