Billy Donald Henry

Services: A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at 9:00 AM in Arlington National Cemetery. Billy Donald Henry, 78, of St. Inigoes, MD died on July 4, 2004 in St. Inigoes, MD. Born October 19, 1925 in Brilliant, Ohio, he was the son of the late Marie Loretta Holmes and John Lawrence Henry. He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel Charleen Henry. Mr. Henry is survived by his children: Pamela Lee Fowler of Leonardtown, MD, Roslyn Marie Monsees of St. Inigoes, MD, Susan Renee Trindade of West Palm Beach, FL and Lori Jean Kercher of Kittery Point, ME. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Henry died at home with his family at his side with the guidance of Hospice. He enlisted in the US Navy on June 18, 1943 in Pittsburg, PA, then he served duty on the USS Houston in the pacific campaign during WWII, where he spent his 18th birthday in a life raft after a second torpedo hit the Houston and left her crippled after battle. Mr. Henry spent most of his service life here at Patuxent River, MD, where he retired April 20, 1966, his country and family were his life. The family will have a burial service on Wednesday, July 21st, 2004 at Arlington National Cemetery.
